feeding and later stages

The way I feed Daisy is, I go down there every morning and feed Daisy. Now that can some times be difficult cause she is not happy with me lifting her of! But she gradually gt used to me going in and lifting her of.
Every now and then I would let here out for 5 mins to get some exersise. I would also put her on the balance beam in here pen.
Now the eggs are about 1 week old they are about an inch big with black eyes and the sad reason we kow this is because our other hens had pecked one open and we saw the dead chick.

How it all started ........

Labeled so we can check them
We have kept hens for a few years now.  Our latest group of ladies are a mix of bluebells and white hybrids.  Their names are Snowy, Potato, Dusty and Daisy. Last year Daisy became broody and we decided that if that happened again we would get Daisy some fertilised eggs to sit on! Now this year when Daisy became broody again I phoned our nearest farm and asked if we could buy six fertilized eggs.  One was white one was dark brown and the others where just normal colored eggs.  I have been researching about raising chicks naturally and daisy is sitting them perfectly and she is enjoying doing it and i am looking forward to them hatching.
